Hydraulic Seals – Its Orientations and Types

Posted on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 in Pallet Truck Articles

Hydraulic seals are products that are also types such as rod seals, flange packing, U-cups. They are designed for applications requiring high pressure, such as hydraulic cylinders. It is said to exhibit a variety of guidelines and a different kind.

Before going further in the direction and type of hydraulic seals, here are some things to consider when purchasing such industrial products. The diameter of the outer shaft, inner seal and housing boreshould be defined. Thickness and radial cross section should be included in the list of considerations. Service boundaries, such as operating speed and pressure, vacuum and temperature rating should be treated accordingly.

Different orientations Waterproofing

There are several ways to seal these industrial products. The first on the list is as rod seals. A rod seal is a type of radial seal, fit specifically into the case himself wore. The sealing lip is found inContact with the shaft.

The second type is known as a piston seal. This is yet another type of radial seal and is a variation of the rod seal. Found instead of the lip in contact with the shaft, the lip is in contact with the housing bore. It is in the shaft where the seal is pressed accordingly.

The other forms of sealing orientations are symmetrical and axial seals. A symmetrical seal, as the term implies, work, balanced or equal to the rod and piston seals. The axialSeal on the other side will come into contact or in an axis with the housing part.

Types of hydraulic seals

There are two categories for these industrial products. These are dynamic and exclusion seals. A seal is a dynamic that is used in order to separate a liquid from possible contamination. It is used to create a gap between movable and immovable Put surfaces such as found in piston ring applications. When considering dynamic seals, it is important in a variety of focusDimensions such as inner diameter, outer diameter, axial cross-bore radial cross section and Housing.

Exclusion seals are those that are used to separate, to contamination of the machine bearings. Remove any debris from the moving waves. This hydraulic sealscan be further classified into sub-V-ring, scrapers and wipers. V-rings are made of rubber, while the wiper lip seals that are flexible. Scrapers are the ones that are used in the scraping edges that containProcess of removing impurities from the camp.
